I like a little sequins in my life

I got this brown sequins cardigan at Goodwill for $4 over the weekend. I paired the cardigan with this white knit gold & silver stripe dress from Old Navy. I fastened a wide elastic white silver clasp belt around my hips and I am wearing leopard print pointy toe flats. (even though you can't see them in the picture) When I bought this cardigan I wasn't sure what I could wear it with, so I was excited to find this dress I bought from Old Navy 2 years ago and rarely wear. I think it looks lovely together!

"Take off your mask, so I can see your face."

As I took these photos I was thinking I must look like a lunatic standing in the snowy outdoors with bare shoulders! My neighbors may think I am a bit odd, always taking pictures outside by myself with the help of my trusty digital camera and tripod. Alright so here I am wearing a black corset top with a zipper front by Candies. I'm wearing a lace & ruffle cream colored skirt, black leggings and a pair of leather candies boots. I like this outfit, but it is definitely more Summer appropriate. :-D

Keep your head up!

I've had this army green lace cardigan for a few months and haven't posted any photos of it. So I paired this cardigan with the gray british flag lace shirt tucked into skinny jeans. I wore this with the camel colored suede boots and a large gold color heart locket.

Red Rose

I found this lovely black off the shoulder shirt at Forever 21 the other day. I love the large red rose printed on the front and the unusual drape of the shirt. I paired the shirt with a simple pair of faded skinny jeans that I rolled at the ankle. Lastly I finally got to wear these awesome plaid stilettos that I bought about a month ago. I like that these shoes give me a lot of height and the oversized black bows are quite cute as well. It is a bit cold for this outfit right now, but I think it will be a nice choice come Spring/Summer.

Teal Military Coat

I just bought this coat over the weekend, I saw it in TJ Maxx and fell in love. I'm wearing the brand new teal military coat, a pink and white stripe scarf, black and white checkered hat with dark skinny jeans and gray suede boots by Candies.

Lady in Plaid

I went on a shopping trip to Indianapolis with my BFF this weekend. We hit up the great stores that our local mall doesn't have, like Forever 21 and H&M. I found this great red and blue plaid shirt at Forever 21. I wore it tucked into some faded denim cut-off shorts over black leggings. The brown boots are new as well and I threw those on with the rest of it. I think this outfit turned out quite cute.

Walking in a winter wonderland!

Dress is from Forever 21, I wore a hot pink cardigan over it so you can just see the black poofy skirt of the dress. I belted the dress, wore it with black leggings, grey and pink leg warmers and black studded boots.

Christmas Elf

One of my favorite bands has an anual Christmas show called The Christmas Pageant. Well, Family Force 5 goes all out with decorating the stage to look like Christmas, snow machines, fun stage outfits and they do songs from their Christmas cd. Well some people who attend the show get really into it and dress up in Christmas themed outfits. This is what I wore to the concert.

I'm wearing a black sweater dress with studs adorning the bottom. I wore a black zipper corset by Britney Spears for Candies over the sweater dress. Black leggings and studded black leather boots. What made this mostly black outfit Christmas-y was the green and red elf hat and the red and white stripe elf socks! This outfit was perfect to wear to the anual Family Force 5 Christmas Pageant and I had a great time at the show and backstage meeting the band again!

Into the Sun

I love this baby pink bubble dress from Rue 21. It has a black feathered piece attached as straps. I wore it over black leggings and with brown Candies boots. It was a little chilly outside so I wore the grey drape cardigan over this outfit to finish the look.

My shadow's the only one that walks beside me

A yellow and navy blue strapless dress worn with a wide brown woven belt. Black trashed pantyhose and brown wedges.

And mother always told me be careful who you love

Black military jacket over a black embroidered dress from Forever 21 worn over trashed black pantyhose.

The years go by & time seems to fly, but the memories remain.

I'm wearing a grey sweater dress under a denim zipper corset. Black jeggings and brown Candies boots finish this look. It is quite simple but not a predictible outfit that one would automatically decide to pair together.

"Your mom goes to college."

This blue boyfriend cardigan is originally from Delias but I got it used at Plato's Closet. I love the detail on it, the shiny gold buttons and lighter blue trim. I paired this with the red skirt and blue leggings. I went through a phase where I was really feeling those oversized fashion glasses, it really completes the look and makes me look like I am off to private school.

Black cats & British lace

I had seen someone wearing this british flag shirt somewhere and really like it. I was shopping in Charlotte Russe and saw it and had to buy it. So I tucked this shirt into a black bubble skirt. I put on some patterened fish net tights and wore the nerdy glasses. To finish the look I took a black & white checkered hair scarf and tied it in my hair!

Me & My Blazer

I hit some thrift stores today in search of a CUTE boyfriend cut blazer. I found a lot of ugly ones with thick scratchy fabric, short waste lines and enormous shoulder pads. But behold, I eventually stumbled across what I set out to find! Gotta love that!

So I paired the blazer with some dark skinny jeanrs rolled at the ankles. I wore a cream colored long waisted shirt under the blazer and some brown srappy heels.

I need you with me as I enter the shadows

I'm wearing a rust colored dress from Forever 21 with a clasp belt around the waist. I layered a gray drape cardigan over the dress and wore black leggings underneathe. I'm wearing black Urban Vibe boots. I tied a leopard print hair accessory in my hair and have on some nerdy looking fashion glasses.

One fine Autumn day

I drove to the park this past Fall and took some shots in my new outfit. I'm wearing a black long sleeve lace shirt over a black tank top. I tucked the shirt into my creme colored lace ruffle skirt and fastened a wide black elastic belt at the waist. I have black panty hose that got a run in them so I snipped a few more holes and let them run even more. I have on some standard black high heels with a buckle on the toe. Lastly I put on some nerdy looking oversized teal and black striped fashion glasses.

I was Michael Jackson for Halloween in 2009

As a huge fan of MJ I dressed up as him for the 2nd time for Halloween in 2009. I wore the trademark black sequins jacket over the standard white V neck shirt Michael was known for wearing. I had the black straight leg trouser pants he wore, that fell a little too short revealing ankles clad with white socks and black loafer shoes. I am wearing the famous single white sequins glove and the black fedora hat!.

Since my hair is dark and curly I didn't have to do much, just put it in a low ponytail. I wore the lightest liquid foundation I could find on my face, heavy black eyeliner and contoured my cheecks, chin and nose with shading to look more like Michael. When I left the house I slipped on some aviator sunglasses like MJ would typically wear when out and about.

I had a lot of fun dressing up like MJ, I went to the mall and kids and adults alike kept saying "It's Michael Jackson" A few people wanted me to do a spin or typical MJ dance move, so I pulled out the moonwalk which I had learned a few months before. October 2009 was just 4 months after Michael Jackson had passed away, so this was my own way of keeping his memory/legend alive.

Don't go for second best baby, put your love to the test!

This is the dress from Forever 21 that I was wearing in a previous look. I wore a red and white stripe tank over the dress and knotted the shirt in the back. I left the black poofy skirt of the dress visible and threw on some red tights and then some mesh patterned tights over those. I once again have on my black leather studded Candies boots and that amazing Michael Jackson style black fedora hat.

Maybe we've been livin' with our eyes half open...maybe we're bent and broken

I just love this black strapless bubble dress. I wore some bright fushia tights under it and belted it with a black and silver elastic metal clasp belt. My black studded leather boots work great with it. Lastly I threw on a green knit hat. Sort of funky, bright, different....but I like it!

You've been hit by a Smooth Criminal

This dress has a black sleeveless top and a floral pattern attached skirt. I wore a purple shortsleeve jacket adorned with gold zippers over it. For shoes I chose some teal strappy heels and to finish it all off a black fedora hat and metallic necklace.

I never really gave up on breaking out of this 2 star town...

I started off this look with this Forever 21 dress. The dress is a black & gray sleveless top with a black tie waist and poofy black attached skirt. I wore this khaki military jacket by Mudd over  the dress and some strappy black high heels.

Starlight, Starbright first star I see tonight

For this look I threw a black blazer over my black & white stripe tube dress. For a loud pop of color I wore bright purple tights and then some black high heels. To finish off this look I tied a black lace hair accessory around my head into a bow like Madonna from the 80's.

80's Vintage Blazer

In 1983 Michael Jackson first moonwalked live during his performance of his song "Billie Jean" on the live television broadcast of "Motown 25: Yesterday, Today & Forever"

He wore a black sequins jacket that he found in his mom's closet, a silver sparkly shirt, black fedora, black pants, white sequins socks, black loafers and the famous white sequins glove.

I orginally bought this jacket on eBay to wear as part of my Halloween costume in 2009 when I dressed up as Michael Jackson. And now I have decided to rock the jacket again!

I wore a plain white tank under the black sequins jacket, paired with a black & white stripe skirt and my black studded Candies wedges. A long metallic necklace and some pink iridescent lipstick tops off this look.

Our Hope & Dreams are out there somewhere

This black & white strapless dress has a dark denim bottom and is finished off with a big black bow at the waist.  I got this dress at Rue 21. The scarf is black and printed with white skulls. My shoes are black studded wedges by Candies.

We are a part of the rhythm nation

Blue and white stripe Military/marching band style jacket, long blue v-neck shirt, white leggings, brown stilettos.

Fighting for your life inside a killer, thriller tonight!

I'm a huge Michael Jackson fan and have been since I was 5 or 6 years old. So I paired my Thriller album tee with a funky zebra print cardigan, black studded belt, faded denim jeggins and black Candies studded boots to create a unique rocker look.
